I completed my doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University’s Derner School of Psychology. While there I received training through Bellevue Hospital Center’s Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), and continued to work at Bellevue, leading health oriented groups throughout the psychiatric department.
My APA accredited internship was at the Brooklyn VA Hospital, with specialized training in PTSD and trauma, substance abuse, palliative care, psychological support during cancer treatment and chronic pain.
I spent nearly ten years working in community mental health through New York State’s Office of Mental Health in the roles of therapist, clinical supervisor and program director. I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping patients with a wide range of issues, from depression, anxiety and grief to serious and persistent mental illnesses, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. This work has been immensely rewarding and an important part of shaping my professional identity.
I’m grateful to now be in private practice in my beloved community of Northern Westchester.
